CRYSTAL BALL GALA PROGRAM: CBS 3 Anchor Larry Mendte will be joining the Foundation as the Gala emcee. The Foundation will present its Distinguished Scientist Award to Anna Lok, M.D from the University of Michigan Medical Center. Dr. Lok’s work has been among the most important in the field, and her dedication and commitment to the health of those affected by hepatitis B care and dynamic advocacy has significantly advanced the Foundation’s mission. The event program will also feature a silent auction including such exclusive items as personal Italian cooking lessons from Celebrity Chef Maria Liberati, a weekend getaway to New York City, a Napa Valley wine tour vacation, a limited edition Philadelphia Eagles football, among many others.
Major Gala sponsors include Bristol-Myers Squibb, Drexel University College of Medicine, Fox Rothschild LLP, Genesis Biotechnology, Gilead, High Swartz LLP, Idenix, Nucleonics, Univest and Wilmington Trust. The event is open to the public. Tickets for the Gala are $175 per person or $1,300 for a table of eight and $1,650 for a table of ten. Proceeds raised through the Gala will help fund the Foundation’s current research, drug discovery and education and outreach programs.
